Art of Artists
Say Chicago and you think the city of: Al Capone, Michael Jordon and Ed Paschke!
Ed was a major player in the art scene from the 1960s till his passing in 2004.
Paschke created his distinctive interpretation of contemporary American culture through the unique perspective of: newspapers, magazines, TV images Tattoo art and various other POP source material.
He loved the grittiness of Chicago urban life, human abnormality and the risque'.
Ed's use of luminous oil color pigments, stimulated a viewers nervous system!
I was fortunate enough to be an apprentice at Landfall Press -Chicago in 1976 while Ed worked on a series of "colorful edgy" pimp lithographs.
A great artist that will truly be missed!
