Andy Warhol became fascinated with "POP " celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe.
Warhol was intrigued by Marilyn living an unimaginably glamorous lifestyle and who attained mythical status as a Hollywood icon.
Warhol started experimenting with silkscreen techniques in August 1962, just days before Marilyn's tragic death.
